Top pick: #8 (INDIANSKI) - Gelding was claimed Sept. 18 by Rick Vega and has improved noticeably since that time. Five-year-old finished a strong third last out in a $75K stakes Dec. 7 and did so despite a poor start an racing wide. Stalker should get a fast pace in front of him and he can win this with a stretch rally.
2nd pick: #5 (Super Shape) - Veteran always tries hard and has done well locally (4-2-1-1) since coming here from Belmont in early August. Stalker fits at the level and if he can stay close enough early he has a good shot down the stretch. Gelding loses Carmouche to the top pick.
3rd pick: #2 (Sunday Blitz) - Appears to be the main speed as he's been showing excellent early foot facing allowance foes in his last three starts. Trainer Ramon Preciado drops him back into a starter-allowance and he won easily here Oct. 5 the last time he raced at that level. Contender.
