He's gone eight for 19 (42%) here this year and has this filly sitting on a big effort. Lightly raced, she tired to finish 3rd here at this level Nov. 14th. It was her second start back off a series of layoffs, and the 'Hall of Fame' trainer is adding blinkers (20%). She has the rail, and Jose Ortiz is down from New York for the mount.
2nd pick: #6 (Addibel Lightning) (7-2) - Consistent 3yo has gone 8-4-2-0 this year, and her local record is excellent (7-3-3-0). Strong finisher moves up in class, but should get a solid pace picture to close into.
3rd pick: #4 (Mama Jones) (2-1) - The morning line favorite, she's won two in a row here in wire-to-wire fashion, and has coasted down the stretch in both. Working fast, Pa bred gets a class test in this spot.
4th pick: #1 (Disco Rose) (9-2) - She has some early speed, but was no match for 'Mama Jones' last out. Believe a minor award is her ceiling in his spot.
