Top pick: #3 (ATLANTIC KING) - Speedy sort set the pace and tired last out at this level on April 7th, his first race since Dec. 31. Colt by "Stormy Atlantic" had a fine 2011 (11-3-2-2) and he should be much sharper today in his second back off the 100-day break.
2nd pick: #6 (Pleaseandthankyou) - Another with early speed, he was claimed by trainer Jay Servis at Aqueduct on March 2nd for $20,000. Barn is one of the best first off the claim (41%) and this 4-year-old will be very tough if at his best.
3rd pick: #4 (Stand Proud) - Strong finisher should get a solid pace to rally into if all go that are entered. Since being claimed last October by Keith Lebarron for $25K, this hard-hitting gelding has gone (8-1-5-2) and such consistency must be admired. Stretch threat.
