Top pick: #7 (FABULOUS KID) (7-2) - Lightly raced and talented, he ships from Oaklawn in shape for trainer Tim Ice. He's gone 4-1-2-0 since coming off almost a half-year's absence in mid-January. Last out he just failed at this trip facing tougher. Speed/stalker is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #5 (Doddsprivatelabel) (4-1) - Hard-hitter is very consistent and has gone 6-2-3-1 since being claimed at Churchill Downs for $7,500 in late Nov. by trainer Marc Zulueta. Relocated to the East Coast, he finished a close up third at this level April 20. Win candidate.
3rd pick: #4 (Draxhall Woods) (3-1) - Veteran speed/stalker set a quick pace last out at this level and held gamely to finish second, a 'head' better than 'Doddsprivatelabel.' He's racing third back from a 2-month freshening and should be involved from start-to-finish.
4th pick: #2 (Rustler Hustler) (12-1) - Stretch runner has banked just over $500K during his 44-start career. He's racing off his third straight short layoff, and 7yo won a $75K stakes facing fellow Pa-breds here at this trip in early Sept. off a similar break. Can't be eliminated.
