Top pick: #11 (SEASIDE MAGIC) - Barn dropped her down to this price last out and daughter of "Hard Spun" finished second at this trip one month ago. She has a sharp 5-furlong work on the Jan. 7 and draws a nice post at this 6.5 furlong trip. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #8 (Erma Deuce) - Only a 1/2 length back of "Magic" last out and it came in her first facing winners. Excellent barn (Tony Dutrow) has worked her twice since and filly is an obvious threat with a repeat of her latest.
3rd pick: #4 (Tiara) - Home-bred by "Corinthian" broke her maiden here on Nov. 21, then tired badly facing allowance foes in her first facing winner a month later. Drops into a claimer today, has a bullet 5 furlong work on the Jan. 8, and she should run better in this spot.
4th pick: #6 (Pink Slip Sue) - All out to get her maiden win her a month ago, she has a very impressive bullet 5 furlong drill on the seventh and this strong finisher should get a solid pace to rally into. Price play.
