Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #1 (BROAD LOVER) (3-1) - Gelding has gone 7-3-3-0 since being claimed by leading trainer Ramon Preciado this past May for $15,000. He enters off an easy win here at this distance Dec 5. 4yo earned a career best 'figure' and that prompts Preciado to move him up in class. Speedy Pa-bred has the rail and is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #3 (Stay Tuned) (4-1) - Lightly raced New York invader is in shape and is trying a two-turn distance for the first time. Stalker is 9-3-4-0 to date and his best 'figures' suggest he's a win candidate.
3rd pick: #10 (Fair and Balanced) (12-1) - Another stalking type, he doesn't win very often (2 for 24 on the dirt), but he has 13-minor awards to his credit in those. His post is of no help, but think he's capable of getting a share at long odds.
4th pick: #2 (Aiken Prep) (6-1) - Speed/stalker has finished 3rd in two straight here, and did so at this level and distance Nov 8. In his follow up start Nov 23, he dueled with the eventual winner before weakening in the final furlong in an allowance for fellow Pa-breds.
