Top pick: #4 (DANI'S STORM) (2-1) - Very consistent (22-7-5-4) mare has been freshened up for almost three months by trainer Scott Lake. He has her working well, and speed/stalker fits at the level and distance. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #6 (Flynnie) (9-2) - She enters in career best form, and was a 19 length winner here going a mile March 22. Much improved since coming off a five month layoff March 15, anything approaching her latest "figure" makes her a win candidate.
3rd pick: #7 (Mellombrook) (6-1) - Filly is racing third back from a long break (7 1/2 months), and she's raced evenly in her return pair. 4yo draws a nice outside post at this seven-furlong trip, and can factor at a square price.
4th pick: #2 (Perfect Landing) (5-2) - Penn National invader hasn't raced since late May, but is working sharply for an annually high percentage barn (Todd Beattie). Fits with her best, but she gives away a recency edge to the top three picks.
