Top pick: #4 (TOMICA'S SPIRIT) (7-2) - Speedy mare just failed to hold on after setting a quick pace here at this level going 6-furlongs on May 5th. It was her first since March 17th and trainer Scott Lake brings her back quickly and changes riders to Rolando Alvarado Jr. Six-year-old gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #2 (Hey Kiddo) (2-1) - Daughter of "Stonesider" has spent her entire career in New York facing open company. Speed/stalker has gone 5-1-4-0 on the "Big Apple" circuit and just missed in a $150K stakes in late Nov. Freshened up since her maiden win on Jan. 16, she's in with fellow Pa.-breds for the first time. Strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #7 (Pixie Dust) (3-1) - Bred/owned/trained by Jim Lawrence, filly won her debut here on April 1st, then rallied to finish second after a slow start on May 2nd at Penn national. Working nicely at Fair Hill since then, she draws a nice outside post and jockey Alex Cintron is once again coming in for the mount.
4th pick: #5 (Evelyn's Colors) (6-1) - Heavily bet when debuting at Pimlico on April 19th, she rallied to win going away following a bit of a tardy beginning. Good Maryland based barn (Tim Keefe) adds Lasix and daughter of "Jump Start" has been working fast for this attempt.
