Very fast from the gate, he finished a pace-setting 3rd last out at this level Feb. 4th. It was his first back off almost a two-month break, and he's worked fast since. Gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #1 (Maxwell Smarty) (2-1) - Speed/stalker raced evenly in a $75K stakes Jan. 16th at Laurel. He had won three of five starts prior to that and defeated 'open' company in two of those. Working fast, he has the rail, and is back in with fellow Pa. breds. An obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #7 (No More Strippers) (5-1) - Veteran has more lifetime wins (five) than any other listed. However, they came facing 'softer,' and he's always found this level a bit too steep for his talent level. He was seven lengths behind 'Seferlis' last out at Penn Nation, so unless there's a complete pace collapse, a small slice is his ceiling.
