Top pick: #2 (LEET) (3-1) - Gelding has been freshened up since Feb. 8th when he finished fifth of six, beaten almost 10 lengths in the $75K "Chris Elser Memorial." He had run second when debuting here at this level in his previous start and meets a large field of first-time-runners.
2nd pick: #7 (Mr. Giovanna) (10-1) - Colt has seven published local works since April 18, including a sharp half-mile breeze from the gate on May 13. Debuting 3yo has Kendrick Carmouche aboard and is a strong threat.
3rd pick: #9 (Vaulted Heart) (6-1) - Debuting son of "Lion Hearted" is one of two entered by trainer Kate DeMasi, and the pair race uncoupled. Well-bred colt has a steady series of works on view and home-bred is a factor if ready.
4th pick: #3 (Stormy Stepper) (4-1) - The second of the DeMasi pair, he appears to have worked in company with his barn-mate several times. Home-bred has been about a length slower than him in those a.m. drills, and that's not a big difference.
