Top pick: #4 (PROFIRE) (3-1) - Colt makes his first start since coming from Santa Anita in mid-April. Son of "Quiet American" has gone 6-0-2-3 when racing on conventional dirt and was in a winning barn (John Sadler) while on the west coast. Now with Phil Aristone, stalker had a sharp local half-mile breeze on June 3rd and is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #1 (Flying Circus) (6-1) - Well-bred 5-year-old makes a belated debut off a fine series of local works for an excellent first-out barn (Cathal Lynch - 30%). Son of "Scat Daddy" cost $110K as a yearling back in 2010 and is a win candidate if he breaks running from his inside post.
3rd pick: #2 (Pesci to De Niro) (4-1) - Pa.-bred has finished second in three of his last four appearances and all have come in local sprints. Gelding by "Petionville" has a flexible running style and must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #7 (Wild Spark) (12-1) - He's from the same barn (Phil Aristone) as "Profire" and raced evenly here in his latest while 4 1/2 lengths back of "Pesci to De Niro." I think that he has more talent than shown in his last pair and he'll be a big price.
