Top pick: #5 (PEACE MILITANT) (4-1) - Lightly-raced colt tracked, made a strong bid, then had to settle for the place spot racing here Feb. 23 at this level and distance. It was his first start since late November and a big step forward. Working well since and this $130K son of 'Pioneer of the Nile' gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #6 (Maxwell's Hammer) (5-1) - Stretch out sprinter has been competitive in four straight appearances and is making back-to-back starts for the first time since last fall. He worked sharply March 29th and has a shot at a square price.
3rd pick: #7 (Super Servive) (5-2) - The probable favorite, he ships from New York where he finished second, going 6-furlongs for a $50K tag Feb 7. Freshened up since, trainer Chad Brown has him working steadily. Barn moves him up in class and stretches him out in distance. A contender, but will be over-bet.
4th pick: #1 (Life Said) (6-1) - Augustin home bred has absolutely no early speed and is racing on real dirt for the first time. Colt is racing second off a 9-month layoff and may grab a slice with a late rally.
