Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #6 (PLEASANTLY MINE) (8-5) - Very lightly raced 3yo cost $440,000 as a Keeneland Sales Yearling two years ago. She won her debut going 8.5 furlongs at Monmouth Park July 8, but was away slowly and never involved in her first facing winners Aug. 20th. Trainer Tony Margotta, Jr. adds blinkers and will shorten her up in distance for this attempt. It's noted that Monmouth's jockey champ, Paco Lopez is in for the ride.
2nd pick: #5 (Blushing Humor) (7-2) - This grey filly cost $300K, but has not moved forward since a good-looking maiden win here last October. Speedy sort is racing second back from a five-month layoff and is a threat on the front end.
3rd pick: #2 (Shes Dynomite) (2-1) - Gulfstream shipper moves from grass to dirt and is cutting back in distance. She enters off a career topping 'figure,' and it's by far the best of this group last out. A major force if she repeats it on the main track.
