It was this Calif. bred's local debut and it's noted he was six lengths clear of the third-place finisher that afternoon. Stalker can take this with a bit of improvement.
2nd pick: #9 (Storm Net) (3-1) - Very lightly-raced colt ships from Aqueduct where he rallied to finish fourth of eight, beaten just over three lengths at this tag going six furlongs Feb 26. It was his first start in three months, his first on conventional dirt, and his first in a claimer. Good barn (George Weaver) has worked him three times since and jockey Angel Cruz is in from New York for the mount. A strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #6 (Rydell) (5-2) - Freshened up since Jan 1, he's been sharp in four straight starts since dropping into claimers following his debut. Strong finisher must be left in the win mix.
4th pick: #7 (Proud Flyer) (8-1) - Speedy Pa. bred is shortening up ion distance and dropping into a claimer for the first time. He will take them as far as he can, but to win this he would have to improve a great deal.
