Top pick: #6 (MUZZLED MOUSE) (2-1) - Santa Anita shipper showed excellent early speed in both starts at Santa Anita before heading east. Gelding was bet in both outings and races off a trainer change to Lou Linder, Jr. Working well locally and the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #5 (Ima Wildcat) (7-2) - Another with early speed, this home bred hasn't raced since Aug. 24th. He set a pressured pace that afternoon at Monmouth and tired to finish third. Bet in both starts last summer, he has some quick local works showing for his first off the 7-month absence.
3rd pick: #3 (So Valor) (5-2) - He's gone 4-0-2-2 here since returning from a 5-month layoff in early Sept. Stalker fits with his best, but has already lost three times facing weaker.
4th pick: #1 (High I.Q.Pete) (3-1) - Colt ships up from Tampa Bay Downs where he finished a pace-setting second in a small field (five) for a $50K tag Feb. 11th. He'll need to step it up in his local debut.
