Top pick: #7 (ON WITH THE SHOW) (9-2) - Gelding was quickly re-claimed by trainer Jennie Wilhelm-Saldana after she lost him for one race, and I always like that angle. He rallied after a slow start to miss by a "neck" here last out and it appears that Wilhelm-Saldana has him headed in the right direction.
2nd pick: #5 (Cactus City Road) (5-2) - Speedy gelding ran well at Aqueduct's over the winter/spring and was a winner on the main track there at this tag on April 18th. Claimed for that price two starts later, new trainer Kevin Patterson has him training sharply at Monmouth for his first since June 8th. Win candidate.
3rd pick: #1 (Greek Default) (4-1) - He's raced evenly while wide in his last pair and is taking a slight drop in class and moving to the rail. Monmouth invader makes his local debut and is a stretch threat in this spot.
4th pick: #2 (Ring It Up) (6-1) - He's gone 7-2-0-2 since returning from a 14 1/2 month layoff in March. Trainer Ed Auwarter moves him up a bit in class and this gelding by "Toccet" is a threat with his best.
