Top pick: #3 (TAZER) (3-1) - Gelding has been racing evenly of late and last out was only beaten three lengths racing here at this level going 7-furlongs. He's yet to recover his fine form from the first half of 2013, but he meets a weak field and his latest effort was a positive one.
2nd pick: #4 (Camp Floyd) (7-2) - Clearly the main speed, well-bred gelding tired badly last out to finish a distant third at this level going 6 furlongs. It was his first off a Mike Pino claim and 4-year-old by "Street Cry" had won his previous pair with ease. Win candidate.
3rd pick: #5 (Stone Rocks) (10-1) - One of two entered by trainer Scott Lake and they run as separate betting interests. No-speed type is racing first off a Lake claim and second off a 7-week freshening. One-paced type should make a late rally in a field where many will be going the wrong way down the stretch. Price play.
4th pick: #2 (Wise Ruler) (5-1) - The second of the Lake pair, he also runs fresh off a claim and last out he ran very wide and evenly while only beaten 2 1/2 lengths. In shape and he has more early speed than most.
