Top pick: #8 (GRANDAD BUD) - Colt has shown consistent early speed since coming back from a 7 month layoff last Nov. He moves from state-bred races to facing "open" foes, but his solid early gear can let him sprint clear early and hang on late.
2nd pick: #1 (Magni Cat) - Home-bred by "Storm Cat" was bet in both starts last year at age two and finished second in his debut at Monmouth before raccing evenly from a tough outside post going two-turns in his second outing. Working fast for this and I almost put him on top.
3rd pick: #9 (Duration) - Colt by "Grand Slam" had problems at the start in both of his starts this past winter at Gulfstream and runs today off a 7 week break and a trainer change to Juan Guerrero. Three-year-old has a fine gate drill on April 11th and looks set allset. Guerrero wins at a 48% rate with new arrivals to his barn.
