Filly was claimed that afternoon at Arlington Park by veteran Scott Lakes for $15,000. Pa bred has some speed and will be racing on conventional dirt after being competitive in one of two on the Tapeta surface in Chicago.
2nd pick: #4 (Just Listen) (7-2) - Home bred has early speed and is taking the big drop into maiden-claimers for the first time. State bred tired late after setting a pressured pace here Sept. 3rd and should be involved against this group from start-to-finish.
3rd pick: #6 (Starlite Lily) (5-1) - One of two fillies making their debuts, she ships down from Monmouth where she's been working above average. From a capable small barn (Sue Crowell), she has noted front-end rider Chuck Lopez aboard.
4th pick: #2 (Miss Moneyhenny) (5-2) - Listed as the morning line favorite, she's been competitive in all four starts since dropping into claimers. Stalker is racing off a pair of layoffs and breaks just of the rail. An obvious contender, but no 'lock' at a short price.
