Top pick: #11 (INDIAN POW WOW) - Gelding ran a career best when he was nailed in the last two strides following a long duel while almost 10 lengths clear of the third place finisher. Race came second back off a two month layoff and a trainer change to "Lupe" Guerrero. Speed/stalker draws a great post for this 7 furlong distance and is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #9 (Barnicus Bay) - Monmouth invader finished fourth there racing at this price-tag going 6 furlongs on Aug. 24. Appears to be headed in the right direction and he should appreciate the extra 1/8th of a mile he travels this afternoon.
3rd pick: #7 (I'm Tapped Out) - Racing into shape following a 10 month layoff, he comes off a pair of even efforts on the grass facing tougher. Trainer Dee Curry drops him down, moves him to the main track, and cuts him back in distance. Dangerous this afternoon.
