Top pick: #1 (NATHAN'S MOM BECKY) (3-1) - Claimed by Scott Lake on Sept. 14 for $25K, Pa.-bred was given a six week break at that time. Filly finished a close up fourth here going 7 furlongs against state-bred allowance foes Nov. 5 and will be dropping down and shortening up in distance. She has the rail and I like her chances.
2nd pick: #6 (Passion for All) (4-1) - Lightly-raced filly finished second here for a $10K tag on Nov. 12 in her first back off a 4 1/2 month layoff. Claimed that day by Ramon Preciado (20% off the claim) he brings her back quickly and doubles her up in price.
3rd pick: #3 (Miss Montauk) (5-2) - The probable favorite, speedy filly is working fast for her first since July 4th and first off a private trainer change to "Lupe" Preciado (27% with new arrivals). Lightly raced, she's run well in all four starts and returns in a career soft spot.
4th pick: #5 (Flashy Eyed Pearl) (8-1) - Grey daughter of "Flashy Bull" drops down after an even effort here in a starter-allowance on Oct. 27. Strong finisher has done well at this tag in the past, and is 5-1-3-0 at this distance.
