Top pick: #6 (RAMROD KEY) (5-2) - Filly has improved of late, and on May 25th she chased the pace and held to finish second racing at this level and distance. She's been beaten narrowly twice by today's rival "Big Variety," but can turn the tables on her in this spot.
2nd pick: #3 (Big Variety) (8-5) - As mentioned above, this filly has finished in front of "Ramrod" in two straight, but both margins were just under a length. Cal.-bred has finished second in three straight, is an obvious win candidate, and I could easily have made her the top pick.
3rd pick: #4 (I'mtwentyfourcarat) (5-1) - Debuting filly from the fine barn of Patty Farro has a nice half-mile gate breeze showing at Monmouth on May 14th. Farro doesn't deal with many "firsters," but is proficient with all types of runners.
4th pick: #1 (Kinda Sexy) (6-1) - Another making her debut for a good small barn (Bob Helmetag) that deals mostly with claimers. Pa.-bred filly had a nice 3-furlong breeze on this surface back on April 4th.
