2nd pick: #8 (Currency Union) (4-1) - Trainer Chad Brown drops this filly into a claimer and adds blinkers for her first start since Nov. 20. She's working steadily, retains Carmouche, and this type of drop is a 33% winning one for the barn.
3rd pick: #2 (Spicy Spirit) (6-1) - Claimed in early Dec. by Mike Pino for $25K he bring her back seven weeks later snd moves her up in price. Speedy filly breaks just off the rail and Pino is very strong first off the claim (30%).
4th pick: #6 (Hallie Brooks) (10-1) - Speed/stalker finished second here racing for a $20K tag on Jan. 7 in her first local appearance aqfter coming up from Gulfstream. Claimed that day by Ramon Preciado, he moves her up in price and takes her blinkers off. Working fast and she'll be a square price.
5th pick: #10 (It'snosmallwonder) (12-1) - Price play is another dropping into a claimer for the first time. She finished second here two back going a mile, but tired badly in her latest. Can grab a share at a big price.
