It was a good effort and came first of a Mike Penaloza claim. He drops her down just a bit while shortening her up in distance. Four-year-old gets a small edge.
2nd pick: #9 (Miss Kalem) (3-1) - Speed/stalker is taking a huge drop in class for this attempt. She's been in with much tougher in three straight starts and is back down in claiming land. The last time she raced for a price tag filly was an easy winner here Nov. 5 for twice his tag. A very strong win candidate
3rd pick: #7 (Midnight Princess) (9-2) - Speedy 4-year-old has been freshened up since winning here at this tag and trip Oct. 30. Well bred 4-year-old cleared the 3l condition that afternoon and must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #2 (Duchess Bird) (5-1) - She enters off a wide and even effort here at this level Dec. 6. Stalker should get a fast and/or contested pace to rally into, but needs to step it up for anything more than a minor award.
