2nd pick: #7 (Joint Attempt) (2-1) - Grey mare has a fine local record 11-2-4-3 and rallied to finish a close up third here facing a bit tougher Sept 12. Race was her first since July 19 and trainer Patty Farro drops her down in class for this attempt. A strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #6 (Urquia) (7-2) - Veteran mare doesn't win very often (4 for 42) but has 18 minor awards and has faced tougher during most of her long career. Five-year-old makes her first start on the local dirt and can factor with her best.
4th pick: #3 (Marcy) (5-1) - Stalker has won three of five local dirt starts and was a winner here over weaker Sept. 1. She's moving up in class, but has defeated much tougher in her past. Must be left in the mix.
