Top pick: #6 (GREEN TEAM) (2-1) - He races first off a Keith Lebarron claim (19%) and had little chance the day he was taken as he "stumbled" badly at the break. Race was his first since shipping here from Santa Anita where he'd been showing good speed facing much tougher. Much the horse to beat.

2nd pick: #1a (Jake's Shake) (9-2) - Well-bred runner hasn't raced since mid-August at saratoga when he finished fourth of nine, beaten just under 4 lengths when facing state-bred special weights going 8.5 furlongs on the turf. He drops way down for this attempt and can factor if ready.

3rd pick: #7 (Campo's Song) - He showed some early speed before tiring badly when debuting here on April 23rd. Capable barn (Ed Auwarter) doesn't deal with many maidens, but this Texas-bred should hold on better with normal second-out improvement.

4th pick: #8 (Gigi's Alke) - Debuting colt is from a good barn (Kate DeMasi) and need not be anything special to factor against this group.
