Top pick: #6 (HALLIE BROOKS) (5-2) - Sophomore seems to thrive on activity and is already (8-1-4-1) in 2013. One-run type finished an even fourth here at this level on May 21st and that broke up a string of five (5-1-4-0) efforts in a row. She has a clear speed to target and may run that one down late.
2nd pick: #1 (Beauty Wakita) (7-2) - Clearly the main speed, lightly-raced filly draws the rail and missed by a head last out when her jockey rode her in an over-confident manner down the stretch. That was a career best and she's the likely favorite and is a strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #7 (Flashy Eyed Pearl) (4-1) - Speed/stalker was an easy maiden winner here on May 7th in her first off a Mike Pino claim and a subsequent 7 week freshening. Last out she finished second after breaking a bit "slowly" and must be left in the three horse win mix in this spot.
4th pick: #9 (Bird Cay) (8-1) - Longhot has some closing punch and should get a solid pace to rally into. However, her "figures" are light when compared to the top three selections, and a small slice may be her ceiling.
