Top pick: #4 (ALTERNATE PLAN) (7-2) - Gelding hasn't raced since Jan. 1 when he finished a pace-setting second on the Golden Gate Fields "Tapeta" surface. Claimed that day by Bob Mosco, he has him training nicely here for what will be his first ever on conventional dirt.
2nd pick: #5 (Passion in a Box) (6-1) - Debuting colt is one of two entered by trainer Phil Aristone and the pair race uncoupled. Home bred has some sharp works on his AM tab and should factor first out.
3rd pick: #3 (Makesmelosemymind) (3-1) - The second of the Aristone pair, he rallied to finish second here at this level going 7-furlongs on June 28th. Nice effort and it was a much improved run over his debut. Win candidate from off the pace.
4th pick: #6 (Sportacular) (5-2) - Freshened up for almost three months, Pa. bred gelding rallied to finish third at Penn National facing state bred special weights when last in action. He would love a fast and/or contested pace to develop.
