Premium Pick

Top pick: #2 (PRIMAL BABY) (5-2) - New York shipper was an easy winner at Aqueduct racing at this tag goig 6 furlongs on Jan. 1. Win came first off a Bruce Levine claim and a subsequent seven week freshening. Fits nicely, Levine is 4-for-5 here this year, and filly mare has won at this 7 furlong distance in the past.

2nd pick: #6 (Strike a Punch) (2-1) - Speedy was reclaimed just nine days ago by Keith Lebarron for the same $7500 price he lost her for on Dec. 16. Grey filly ran a carer best last out and will prove tough if she can repeat the "figure" earned.

3rd pick: #5 (Barbara's Beauty) (5-1) - "Babs" has won three in a row, two for Scott lake and the latest for Mike Pino. Claimed last oit by Don White for $7,500 he moves her up in price and stretches her out a furlong. Must be left in the mix.

4th pick: #3 (Conga Bella) (4-1) - She's one of two veteran mares entered by trainer Phil Aristone and they race uncoupled. She's in shape, drops slightly, and she likes this distance (4-2-1-0). Stretch threat.
