Top pick: #4 (TOP THE PODIUM) - Gelding traked, made a strong bid, and settled for second at Penn National racing for $25K on March 16th. Effort was his best overall since last June and trainer Scott Lake will drop him into a career soft spot this afternoon.
2nd pick: #7 (Fiery Forest) - He finished a pace-setting second last out at this price and distance in his second start back off a 10 month layoff. He doesn't need the lead to run well and it's nice to see leading rider Carmouche back aboard.
3rd pick: #1 (Bridled Energy) - He looked the winner every step last out at Penn National as he trounced a field of $7500 2l claimers. Race was his first off a 5 1/2 month layoff and first for trainer Murray Rojas. Grey gelding is a major threat against these.
