Top pick: #7 (RONNIE CLARK) (7-2) - Useful debut here on Sept. 7 saw him race close up after breaking from a tough inside post in a large field. Good small barn (Jose Gallegos) drops him down, has worked him since, and Carmouche is back on the re-ride. Colt moves off the rail and I like his chances.
2nd pick: #5 (Sunday Brunch) (8-1) - He exits the same Sept. 7 as "Ronnie" and tired and racing wide early on. He takes the same drop as that rival and gelding took some late betting action in his debut. Barn (Bill Hedus) had a maiden winner on yesterday's card.
3rd pick: #1a (Proper Feud) (12-1) - Colt has faced a pair of very "deep" fields in his first two outings and gets some class relief this afternoon. Son of "Afleet Alex" drops into a claimer and he had a bullet three furlong breeze on Sept. 21.
4th pick: #4 (What's Your Excuse) (5-2) - Lasix is added to grey colt who has been competitive in three of his four starts. Can impact, but will be over-bet.
