Claimed that day by Marc Zulueta for $10,000, new trainer wins at a 30% rate first of the barn switch. Gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #2 (O Aubrey) (5-2) - Speedy filly takes a big drop in class for a winning barn (Keith Nations). She's been flashing early speed facing tougher and is a threat to take this field from start to finish. I could have easily made her the top choice.
3rd pick: #7 (Flashy Nunzio) (10-1) - Three-year-old has early speed but has only been competitive in one of her six starts. She finished an even fourth last out at Penn National and may hold down a share, but the one of the top two selections is much more likely to win this.
4th pick: #6 (Elita) (9-2) - On the sidelines since May 15, she's another taking a big drop. She's 'nibbled' a couple of times and trainer Rick Vega removes her blinkers.
