Top pick: #4 (NICE SURPRISE) (5-2) - Consistent on the local dirt 6-2-0-3, he's dropping in class. Moving from turf to dirt, and shortening up in distance. Well spotted by a winning barn (Marc Zulueta) and I like his chances.
2nd pick: #1 (Jet Alley) (4-1) - He enters off a sharp win here going two-turns for a $7,500 tag. He cleared the 2l condition that afternoon and is doubled-up in price and shortened up in distance by trainer Keith Lebarron.
3rd pick: #2 (So Valor) (2-1) - Pa. bred was never involved last out after a troubled break. Gelding had won two in a row prior to that and is taking a big drop in class for this attempt. An obvious contender at a short price.
4th pick: #6 (Pop Joe) (6-1) - 'Joe' is another that dropping down and cutting back in distance. He's been racing evenly lately, but does have some early speed and a nice post to use it from.
