Top pick: #4 (MI LUNA GRANDE) (5-2) - The probable favorite, he was beaten less than a length here at this level and distance on Jan. 1. Strong effort came in his first off a Steve Kleasris claim and a subsequent 9 week freshening. It was a career best from a "figure" standpoint and a repeat of it takes this.
2nd pick: #1 (Lookingatlangfuhr) (5-1) - Colt has been sharp racing here in three straight and got his maiden win on a muddy surface Dec. 18 when racing for a $15K tag. Claimed that afternoon by Ramon Preciado(a 17% winning angle) and he has him spotted where he can't lose him in his first facing winners.
3rd pick: #2 (Danny Newman) (4-1) - Speedy sort was only a length back of "Luna" last out and that marked a career best. Grey gelding should be in this from start to finish.
4th pick: #5 (Reaganomics) (3-1) - He ships back from Aqueduct where he was an easy wire-to-wire winner there Dec. 26 to get his maiden win. Grey gelding was making only his second start and is nicely spotted today in his first facing winners.
