Top pick: #4 (SAFARI JOE) (5-2) - "Joe" hasn't raced since early Jan, but at that time he showed excellent early speed in a pair of starts facing special weights. Owner/trainer Joe Orseno has him working fast and drops him way down for his return. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #2 (Redhotlotion) (3-1) - He's been competitive in over half of his starts (14-0-5-3), has a stalking style, and will be cutting back to a sprint after a pair of much longer races.
3rd pick: #6 (Tiznow Titan) (6-1) - Well-bred runner has back races that can win this but he's lost a step or two in his last pair. He does draw a nice post for his style, and will be a square price.
4th pick: #7 (Just for Me) (5-1) - He had no chance in his first start when he had trouble at the break and trainer Rick Vega will drop him slightly in price and adds lasix.
