Top pick: #7 (SHOELESS JOE) (5-2) - Gelding rated, bid, and tired to finish third here racing at this tag going 6 furlongs on Feb. 3. The race was his first since June 16th, and he's since come back with an excellent half-mile work four days ago. He draws a nice outside post at this 7-furlong trip and is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #5 (Rovin Man) (9-2) - Clearly the main speed, he exits the same Feb. 3 race as "Joe" and after chasing the pace he tired to finish on virtually even terms with that rival. Race was his first since July 30th and the gelding is a win candidate on the front end.
3rd pick: #3 (Meadow Cat) (3-1) - Gelding raced wide and evenly last out at this tag in his first off a claim and second off a 2 1/2 month layoff. Blinkers go on this afternoon and this 5-year-old is a threat with his best.
4th pick: #1 (Bowman's Beast) (4-1) - He rallied from far back to finish a distant second when debuting here at this tag on Feb. 3. Good second-out barn (Cathal Lynch 19%)stretches him out a furlong and that should be in this 4-year-old's favor.
