Race was her first following a Ramon Preciado claim and almost a seven-week freshening. A career best, she should beat these despite going an additional furlong.
2nd pick: #8 (She's Runnin Free) (7-2) - Home bred has been competitive in three straight. Last out she ran evenly while checking in 3rd, 4 1/2 behind 'Start Smok'n.' Stretch runner has blinkers added and she should love this seven-furlong trip. Win candidate.
3rd pick: #7 (Billy No Sabay) (5-1) - She was never involved following a 'troubled' start when debuting here Nov. 3rd. In her follow up race Nov. 24th, filly broke cleanly, reached the front, then tired to finish 2nd. Race was at this level and distance, but her finishing time was almost 1:29. Can factor, but 3yo needs to run faster.
4th pick: #6 (Queen's Gate) (8-1) - Grey filly ran both wide and evenly in the same last race as the top two selections. Home bred is racing third off a 2 1/2 month layoff and is capable of getting a share at a big price.
