Top pick: #9 (TEN NOTE MELODY) (5-1) - Price play raced evenly here at this level and distance July 18. It was her first ever on the turf and first off a Marc Zulueta claim. One-run type should get a solid pace to rally into and gets a slight edge.
nd pick: #6 (Krista's Persona) (5-2) - The probable favorite, speedy filly set a quick pace before weakening late to finish third here at this tag and distance July 18. New York bred was a bit over a length in front of 'Ten Note Melody' that afternoon and is a strong win candidate.
rd pick: #4 (Giddy) (6-1) - Maryland bred ships down from Monmouth where she tired after setting the pace facing slightly tougher. In a good barn (Kate DeMasi) and believe this 4-year-old will be competitive at a square price.
th pick: #3 (Village Reward) (9-2) - Well backed when debuting here July 18, she rated early, made a good bid on the turn, then flattened out to check in fifth of eight, beaten 2-lengths. She can factor with normal second-out improvement.
th pick: #1 (After the Dream) (8-1) - Un-raced since April 3, filly tired badly that day going a mile that day at Gulfstream racing for twice this price. Has the rail, is in a very under-rated barn (Jane Cibelli) and apprentice Nick Suarez is in from Monmouth for the ride. Jockey has won with four of seven when riding for Cibelli.
