Top pick: #2 (MINE FOR LOVE) - One of two entered here by trainer Scott Lake and the pair race uncoupled. This gelding had some promise early in his career but went in for a 14-month layoff sometime in late 2010. He's quickly raced himself back into shape and was an easy winner here on March 4th. Claimed that day by Lake, he's given him almost seven weeks of freshening and will raise him up a bit in price.
2nd pick: #1 (Thebes) - The second of the Lake runners has plenty of speed and comes off a wire-to-wire win racing for $7500 on March 12th. Colt had finished fourth to "Mine" in his previous outing and this front runner has the rail.
3rd pick: #5 (Serendipper Moon) - Very speedy colt drops down after tiring in a pair of mid-level starter-allowances. Capable, and he draws a post where he can stalk the two lake runners.
