Top pick: #1 (PINK FOR ME) (5-2) - Filly has shown nothing in two starts facing tougher, and trainer Steve Klesaris will drop her into a low level maiden claimer in this spot. She has the rail, meets a very weak field, and can take this with a clean break.
nd pick: #8 (Lyrical Colors) (6-1) - Home bred raced evenly last out on a sloppy surface that I don't believe she cared for. She had missed by a "nose" in her previous start and is a threat with a repeat of that effort.
rd pick: #2 (Miss Modela) (7-2) - She ran a career best when she ran second on the Atlantic City grass facing state-bred special weights April 25. It was her first since early Dec., and filly is a threat if she can transfer that form to the dirt.
th pick: #3 (Hope Is Alive) (8-1) - Another that ran at Atlantic City last out, and she made up some ground while very wide. Race was her first since Sept. 11th, and a good barn (Phil Aristone) drops her way down in this spot.
th pick: #7 (Selfie) (5-1) - Daughter of "War Chant" ships from across town where she raced evenly at Atlantic City. It was a career best, and she had finished fourth here at this tag on the dirt in her previous effort.
