Top pick: #5 (SOUTHERN JOURNEY) (5-2) - Filly has disappointed in both starts since coming here from California, but will be stretching out in distance and draws outside of the speed types. Good barn (Lou Linder, Jr) has her set for a big effort.
2nd pick: #6 (Dragon Tattoo) (5-1) - Lightly raced filly ships back from Penn National where she raced very poorly facing tougher. Home-bred drops down to a new low, and ran well on this surface when she finished second in her debut on July 6.
3rd pick: #3 (What'samatterdaddy) (9-5) - She showed some early speed before tiring when debuting at this tag on the Monmouth turf on Aug. 31st. Owner/trainer, Joe Mazza has given her a month to recover, and moves her to the dirt for her second outing.
