He missed by just under a length Aug. 19 at Monmouth facing special weights going two turns. It was his first in 2.5 months, first on the east coast, and first for trainer Jay Servis. Grey son of 'Tapit' gets a slight edge, but make sure you reverse your exactas with him.
2nd pick: #4 (Nick Can Fix) (3-1) - Belmont shipper has been freshened up since Sept. 9. Stalker has finished third in his last pair on the NYRA circuit facing tougher at this distance. He's another dropping down to face claimers for the first time.
3rd pick: #6 (Pharaoh's City) (6-1) - Gelding ships in from Churchill Downs where he raced poorly going two turns Sept. 25 for a $30K price tag. Claimed that day by Marc Zulueta, new barn wins at an excellent 30% rate first of the claim.
4th pick: #7 (So Sensible) (9-2) - Well bred colt races today with several changes. He's racing first off a John Servis claim (33%), has blinkers added (42%), and is a NEW gelding. Look for an improved effort from this 3-year-old by 'Street Sense.'
