Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #1 (NOW WE'RE TALKIN) (7-2) - Veteran has the best early speed in today's opener and has the added bonus of breaking from the rail. The distance and claiming tag fit and 6-year-old will be tough on the front end.
2nd pick: #8 (Old Fashioned Song) (2-1) - From the barn of the leading trainer here (Ramon Preciado), he drops this grey gelding to a new low. Four-year-old has raced evenly in his last pair when facing tougher and is racing third back from a 4 1/2 month layoff. A very strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #7 (Tiny Predicament) (9-2) - Old timer has slipped noticeably as he nears his eighth birthday. He just missed here facing a bit tougher Sept 29, but has raced evenly without threatening in his follow up pair. Needs to turn it around for anything more than a small slice.
4th pick: #5 (Tulley) (8-1) - No-speed type continues to run evenly. He hasn't won since the first half of 2014, so he's another who may earn a minor award in his present form.
