Top pick: #5 (BLAZING PRIZE) (3-1) - He looked very sharp at Monmouth when winning there facing weaker on May 25th. Consistent veteran is in a top barn (Jamie Navarro) and it's nice to see jockey Pedro Cotto Jr. come down I-95 for the re-ride.
2nd pick: #1a (Risky Red ) (7-2) - Gelding is part of a Scott Lake trained entry and he has separate riders listed on both halves. Delaware shipper was an easy winner there facing weaker on June 5th, but it was his best overall in some time and 6-year-old is nicely spotted today.
3rd pick: #4 (Raybern's Gold) (10-1) - Veteran exits the same Monmouth race as "Prize" and he finished a solid second after chasing that rival from start-to-finish. In shape, and a threat at a square price.
4th pick: #7 (Smalltownman) (9-2) - He races first off a Keith Lebarron claim (22%) and fits with these, but his lack of speed and outside post means he'll need some pace help to make his late run effective.
