Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #7 (WHITE BLUFF) (2-1) - Grey gelding set a pressured pace and held to finish second here at this tag going six furlongs June 27. It was his first local appearance and it came off a three month layoff. Trainer Juan Guerrero brings him back quickly and 3-year-old by 'Macho Uno' gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #1 (True Belief) (3-1) - The main speed he's been on the sidelines since Feb 29. Working steadily for his return. A strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #4 (Rye Z Rolls) (7-2) - Lightly-raced colt finished last here facing tougher July. Only his second starts, New York bred was only beaten 3.5 lengths and was forced very wide turning for home. Trainer Phil Aristone brings him back in seven days and drops him to a new low. Must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #6 (Judi's Joy) (5-1) - He's had a lot of chances (12) and although competitive at times, he's yet to put good starts together. He tired badly last out and was 12.5 lengths behind 'White Bluff'. However, he was only beaten a 'head' in his previous race at the same level. Tough call.
