It was her first race since Nov. 28 at Churchill when she ran 2nd at that price. Claimed that day by Bob Diodoro, this 6yo enters off a win at this level and distance Feb. 16. I give her a slight edge.
2nd pick: #3 (Liz's Cable Girl) (6-1) - A multiple sprint stakes winner of almost $450K, she raced evenly here facing tougher Feb. 29. It as her first since Nov. 8 and her first ever away from the mid-Atlantic circuit. Very quick from the gate, she's a strong win candidate today.
3rd pick: #8 (A P Princess) (8-1) - She ships from Turfway Park where she was sharp in her last pair sprinting on the all-weather surface there. 4yo was in good form last year on the dirt and is capable of getting a share here at a big price.
4th pick: #5 (Sunny Dale) (5-1) - She's won two in a row since coming from Santa Anita. The 4yo got her maiden win at this distance Feb. 8, then held by a 'head' in a first-level allowance Feb. 29. This well-bred filly faces tougher today, but she must be left in the mix if her present form holds.
