2nd pick: #5 (Portal Creek) (4-1) - She was a winner here for a $25K tag Feb. 27 in her second start since arriving from California. 4yo runs off a claim by Randy Matthews, and he moves her up in class. It's noted that this filly was only a 'neck' behind 'Nomizar' when they met Nov. 17 at Del Mar.
3rd pick: #4 (Inthemidstofbiz) (10-1) - Longshot is lightly raced and enters off a close up 4th place finish here at this level and distance Feb. 29. She was a long 'neck' in front of 'Nomizar' in that contest and is capable of getting a share inthis one at a big price.
4th pick: #3 (Mizz Fabulous) (5-2) - Mare has been competitive in 10 consecutive appearances and runs today for the first time since Dec. 1. She finished 2nd that day at this level at Remington Park and was a winner here last April going a mile.
