Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #5 (LOUISE THE LASER) (3-1) - Competitive in all three at the meet, she ran 3rd at this level April 11 in her first off a Villafranco claim. Veteran mare had some traffic issues that day, and I give her a slight edge in this one.
2nd pick: #1 (Kalliste Rose) (4-1) - An easy winner at this price tag Feb. 20, she then was competitive in one of two facing tougher after being claimed by Tom Amoss. She moves to the rail, drops back down, and is a strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #6 (Convince) (10-1) - Longshot drops following an even effort here for a $10K tag April 2. It was her first since shipping from Turf Paradise, and she was a winner last year at both Santa Anita and Del Mar facing much tougher. In the mix.
4th pick: #3 (Darpa) (6-1) - From the barn of leading trainer Bob Diodoro, she finished basically on even terms with 'Kalliste Rose' last out and is capable of factoring here at a square price.
