Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #8 (MO AND GO) (4-1) - I liked him last out, but he turned in a very poor effort. He had a good spot near the half-mile pole, but was wide in the sloppy going and never fired. He's taking a big drop into a $30K claimer, and it's good to see that Dave Cohen stays aboard.
2nd pick: #7 (Squared Straight) (8-1) - NEW gelding makes his first start outside of California. He has early speed, is taking a big drop, and this 3yo by the popular 'Square Eddie' is a contender.
3rd pick: #1 (Unbanite) (5-1) - No speed type from the Asmussen barn, is another in a claimer for the first time, and he gets the addition of blinkers. This $230K purchase is especially dangerous if the pace is fast and/or contested.
4th pick: #4 (Marquee Thunder) (10-1) - A NEW gelding, he hasn't raced since Oct. 10 when he tired after traffic woes while facing tougher going seven furlongs at Keeneland. He has a fine series of works there showing for his return and can factor at a big price if ready.
