A very easy win last out in the New Orleans Handicap (G2) March 21, some very fast works since makes him my top choice.
2nd pick: #4 (Mr Freeze) (6-1) - Very much improved since last August, this speed/stalker has gone 6-2-3-1 since then including a sharp win last out in the G2 Gulfstream Park Mile Feb. 29. Working steadily for this attempt, he's a win candidate.
3rd pick: #7 (Combatant) (5-1) - He looked good defeating 'Multiplier' in the Santa Anita Handicap (G1) March 7. Veteran has developed more positional speed as he's gotten older, and he worked a bullet five furlongs in 00:59.20 April 26 at Santa Anita. In the mix.
4th pick: #6 (Warrior's Charge) (6-1) - Lightly raced 4yo has won four of his last five, including a victory by a 'head' here in the Razorback Handicap G3) Feb. 17. Working fast, he should be involved from gate-to-wire.
5th pick: #9 (Tacitus) (9-2) - Hard luck colt has finished close up in major races a number of times while having a variety of traffic issues. He fits with his best, but is giving away a recency edge to most.
